Public Page
A public profile page for your organization
Overview
The Public Page gives your organization a dedicated, shareable profile on OrgBaseHQ. It showcases your mission, officers, upcoming events, and contact information — all without requiring visitors to log in. It's the perfect way to introduce your organization to prospective members and the general public.
Your URL: Your public page lives at orgbasehq.com/your-slug — the same slug you chose when creating your organization. Share it on social media, your website, or in emails.
Getting Started
To enable your public page, go to Settings > Organization and toggle on the "Enable Public Page" switch. Once enabled, a preview link will appear so you can see your page right away.
- 1Navigate to Settings > Organization
- 2Scroll down to the Public Page card
- 3Toggle Enable Public Page on
- 4Fill in your mission, vision, and social links, then Save Changes
Page Sections
Your public page is made up of several sections. Each one is configurable — toggle them on or off depending on what you want to show.
Hero Section
Always shownThe top of your page displays your organization's identity:
- Logo — Your uploaded org logo (or a letter initial if none)
- Name & Description — From your organization profile
- Hero Message — An optional custom subtitle or tagline
- Badges — Founded year, member count, and address (each toggleable)
Mission & Vision
Tell visitors what your organization stands for:
- Mission — Your organization's purpose and goals
- Vision — Your long-term aspirations
These appear as two side-by-side cards on desktop. If you only fill in one, it will display on its own. Leave both empty to hide this section entirely.
Officers
ToggleableShowcase your current leadership team:
- Photo & Name — Member photos or auto-generated initials
- Position — Their governance title (e.g., President, Treasurer)
- Contact Info — Email and phone (controlled by privacy settings)
Privacy controls: Use the officer privacy checkboxes to hide email addresses and/or phone numbers from the public page. Officer names and positions are always shown when the section is enabled.
Upcoming Events
ToggleableLet visitors know what's coming up:
- Up to 6 events — Shows the next 6 upcoming or ongoing activities
- Event details — Title, type badge, date, time, and location
- Description — A brief preview of each event (2-line truncation)
- Automatic updates — Past events are automatically removed
Cancelled activities are never shown. Events are pulled directly from your Activities module — no extra setup needed.
Contact & Social Links
ToggleableHelp people reach you:
- Website — Link to your organization's external website
- Email & Phone — From your organization profile
- Address — Physical location
- Social Media — Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
Social links are set in the Public Page settings card. Website, email, phone, and address come from your organization profile.
Join Call-to-Action
Always shownA prominent call-to-action at the bottom of the page:
- Join Now — Links to your active registration link (if you have one)
- Contact Us — Falls back to a mailto link if no registration link exists
To show a "Join Now" button, make sure you have an active registration link. Create one in Settings > Registration Links.
Display Options
Fine-tune what's visible on your public page. All options are found in Settings > Organization > Public Page:
Configuration Checklist
- Show Officers — Display your current officers in a photo grid
- Show Upcoming Events — List your next 6 upcoming activities
- Show Member Count — Display total active members as a badge
- Show Established Year — Display your founded year as a badge
- Show Contact Information — Display website, email, phone, address, and social links
- Hide Officer Emails — Remove officer email addresses from the public page

SEO & Sharing
Your public page is server-rendered and optimized for search engines and social sharing:
What's Included
- Page Title — Your org name appears in search results and browser tabs
- Meta Description — Uses your mission or description (first 160 characters)
- Open Graph Tags — Rich previews when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- Twitter Card — Optimized preview cards for X (Twitter)
- OG Image — Uses your uploaded OG image if available
- Canonical URL — Prevents duplicate content issues
Tip: Upload an OG image in Settings > Organization for the best social media previews. The recommended size is 1200x630 pixels.
Privacy & Security
What's Protected
- Disabled by default — Your page is private until you explicitly enable it
- Officer privacy — Separately toggle email and phone visibility
- No member data exposed — Only a total count is shown (if enabled), never individual member details
- Activity details are limited — Only public event info (title, date, location) is displayed
- No login data — The page is read-only with no authentication or form inputs
Tips
- Write a concise, compelling mission statement — it appears in search results
- Upload member photos in Governance so officers show real headshots instead of initials
- Keep your activities up to date — the public page automatically shows upcoming events
- Create a registration link to activate the "Join Now" button on your page
- Add social media links to help visitors find you on other platforms
- Use the hero message field for timely announcements or a welcome greeting
- Review officer privacy settings before enabling — check what contact info you're comfortable sharing
