Pin OrgBaseHQ to your home screen — no App Store, no download

Why install?

OrgBaseHQ is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it on your phone or computer like a real native app — but without going through the App Store or Google Play. Once installed:

Tap the icon on your home screen to open it instantly — no Safari or Chrome address bar
It runs full-screen, like a real app
Loads faster after the first visit
Works briefly when you're offline (with a friendly fallback page)
Members can check dues, RSVP for activities, or pull up their badge in two taps

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

Use Safari, not Chrome.

Apple only allows Safari to install web apps on iPhone and iPad. If you're reading this in Chrome iOS, copy the link and paste it into Safari first.

Open OrgBaseHQ in Safari
Go to orgbasehq.com or your member portal link (e.g. orgbasehq.com/portal/your-org).

Tap the Share button
It's the square with an upward arrow at the bottom of Safari (or top right on iPad).

Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
If you don't see it right away, scroll the share-sheet menu until you find it.

Tap Add
You can change the name first if you want. Then look for the OrgBaseHQ icon on your home screen.

Done! Tap the icon to launch OrgBaseHQ like a real app. The address bar disappears and it runs full-screen.

Android (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Samsung Internet)

Android browsers are smarter about this. After your second visit, you'll see our built-in install banner near the bottom of the screen. Tap Install and confirm. Done.

Don't want to wait for the banner? You can install manually:

Open OrgBaseHQ in Chrome (or any Chromium browser)
Go to orgbasehq.com or your member portal link.

Tap the three-dot menu in the top right
Or look for an Install icon in the address bar.

Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen
The wording varies by browser, but it'll be there.

Confirm
OrgBaseHQ shows up in your app drawer and on your home screen, with its own icon and splash screen.

Tip: If our banner showed up earlier and you dismissed it, it'll come back in 7 days. You can also tap the Install as app link at the bottom of the portal anytime.

Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Brave)

On desktop you don't get a banner — just look for a small install icon on the right side of the address bar when you're on orgbasehq.com. Click it, confirm, and OrgBaseHQ opens in its own window without browser tabs or address bar. Lives in your dock or taskbar like any other app.

Safari on macOS and Firefox don't support PWA install — use Chrome or Edge if you want the desktop app experience.

Frequently asked

Is this a real app or a shortcut?+

A real app, in every way that matters. It runs in its own window, has its own icon, gets its own splash screen, and (on iOS 16.4+ inside an installed PWA) can even send push notifications. It's not on the App Store, but it doesn't need to be — installing takes one tap.

Will it work offline?+

Partially. The app shell loads from cache so it opens instantly even with spotty signal. But anything that needs fresh data (your dues, your member list, today's activities) needs an internet connection. If you're fully offline, you'll see a friendly "you're offline" page with a Try Again button.

Will I get notifications?+

Not yet — but soon. Push notifications for activity reminders and dues updates are on the roadmap. On iPhone they'll only work if you've installed the app first (Apple's rule, not ours).

How do I uninstall?+

Same as any app. On iPhone, long-press the icon → Remove App. On Android, long-press the icon → Uninstall. On desktop, open the app, click the three-dot menu in its title bar → Uninstall.

Will my data be there if I switch phones?+

Yes. Your account and all your data live in the cloud, not on your phone. Just install OrgBaseHQ on the new phone and log in.
